Measuring outcomes and monitoring progress helps us assess whether our collective efforts are making a positive difference, and identify areas requiring greater focus and effort.
We are currently developing methods to measure and report on outcomes from Shifting minds: Queensland Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Strategic Plan 2018-2023.
Performance indicator reports were developed under the superseded 2014-2019 Strategic Plan, and have now been concluded.
Measuring outcomes of the 2014-2019 Strategic Plan
The 2014-2019 Strategic Plan included a commitment to developing indicators to measure progress towards achieving six long-term outcomes identified in that plan.
The reports focus on those measures which represent the mental health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders, including those living with mental illness, mental health problems and problematic alcohol and other drug use.
The performance indicator reports tell us, based on available data, how Queensland is performing against each outcome.
Achieving the outcomes can be challenging, particularly as they are influenced by a wide variety of factors.
