On World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September), the Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention (AISRAP), held a community forum, Suicide Prevention: One World Connected at the Greek Club in Brisbane.
The Hon. Lawrence Springborg MP, Queensland Minister for Health opened the event and Professor Diego De Leo AO, Director of AISRAP spoke about the newly released World Health Organization World Suicide Report.
Commissioner Dr Lesley van Schoebroeck gave a keynote address on Connecting Information to Action.
