Your views are important
Queenslanders from all sectors were invited to participate in statewide consultation forums for the strategic plan renewal.
We invited the views and experiences of a wide variety of stakeholders from people and organisations representing many sectors, including health, community services, education, employment and local government.
It was particularly important the voices of people with a lived experience of mental illness, mental health difficulties, suicide and alcohol and other drug issues were heard.
Feedback was invited by:
- registering to attend a consultation forum, or
- responding in writing to the Discussion papers.
Participate in a forum
A number of consultation forums took place between March and June 2017 at locations throughout Queensland.
Each location hosted two forums:
- Lived experience forums to hear the views and experiences of people with a lived experience of mental illness, problematic alcohol and other drug use and people affected by suicide, including their families, carers and support people.
- Community forums to hear the views and experiences of government and non-government service providers and community members.
