The Queensland Mental Health and Drug Advisory Council met in West Moreton and Darling Downs on 2 and 3 October.
The Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services, Dr Steven Miles, discussed a range of issues with the council at Wacol, as did representatives of the West Moreton Prison Health Service and Prison Mental Health Service.
Council members attended a networking dinner with local mental health and alcohol and other drugs sector representatives, met with the Darling Downs and West Moreton Primary Health Network and the Stretch2Engage Toowoomba Consortium partners, and visited two non-government organisations – the Toowoomba Clubhouse and Vanguard Laundry Services.
