A message from the Commissioner
The review of the Queensland Mental Health Act is underway, with submissions due to the Department of Health by Friday, 25 July 2014.
The discussion paper makes 21 recommendations.
The Commission has reviewed these recommendations and what they seek to achieve, and has provided commentary and interpretation on each recommendation to help individuals and organisations better understand the implications of the proposed amendments to the Act.
I hope this commentary is a useful resource for those putting together a submission.
